The office girl came to help you today. That’s cute 😂. Hit it with your purse Susan
How wide should the hole be?
For typical ground conditions, a hole approximately three times the width of the fence post should be sufficient.
What the hell is this comparing ?
Hi, in the first part of the video we are in the residential area which needed protecting from the noise coming from the laundry services, you can hear birds tweeting etc and wouldn't know there are laundry services next door. In the second part at 0:35 we enter the laundry services site and you can see how noisy it is within. The noise is being kept in by the fence. Kind regards
Are these panels bi-facial? Can you use micro inverters with these?
Hi, due to the design they are not bi-facial, and there would be nowhere to neatly conceal micro inverters or the cabling. Kind regards
What size are they, the solar area per panel, the total fence panel size? How are they connected? What is the cost? How long should it take an installer to install these? I like the idea, just need sizes and costs please.
They are 1.83m (6ft) wide and 1.17m high. In the photos they are sitting on our 0.6m high Venetian Hit and Miss fence panels giving a total height of just over 1.9m. They work with our slotted Jakposts and have a simple connector hidden inside the post which join the panels. The fence install time is similar to a standard fence but the connection to an inverter / main will have to be carried out by a certified MCS qualified Solar PV installer that is also a member of a CPS from microgeneration technology, such as NICEIC.
@@JacksonsFencing thank you very much for the reply. Plenty of useful detail. 1.9m is a nice height. Thanks you
the solar panel has got to be cheaper than hardwood.
What's the efficiency of these things? Also, surely trees and the like would cause issues for these ie: shading?
@@waqasahmed939 efficiency would depend on orientation, like all solar panels, being lower than the roof would probably have more shading depending on what trees are around. advantages are cost, installation can be cheaper, maintenance will be much cheaper. and if you were planning on installing a nice wood fence, a solar fence would be cheaper.
So?
Very nice
This sounds very interesting!!!
Now this DOES sound like a great idea!
Nice video! Good to see the hedgehogs mentioned.
Definitely fake. Several palings not even under pressure came off.
Pretty much any fence will shear a M8 bolt if u happen to have a 12ft piece of wood laying around!
Professionals will often plan attacks and using pieces of timber or a lever to force off pales is a common tactic which creates little noise. Unfortunately a pair of pliers or a small adjustable spanner could also do the same damage; removing the bolts more discreetly. The same attempt on a fence which has the pales welded through the top and bottom rail without any visible bolts will be considerably stronger. This video highlights the difference: ua-cam.com/video/FCdPgdd3pJs/v-deo.html
Amazing!!!
This was really interesting to watch and notice the similarities of gait with gaited breeds like the TennesseeWalker. Comparing the Extended Walk to the TennesseeWalker's Flat Walk, you'll notice the natural self carriage, the extention of the back legs underneath itself to lift its back and reach of the front legs, the nod of the head as it's really using its back, etc. Such characteristics which is bred to be a natural gait/traits in many gaited breeds
Dressage horses are the rugby playersof the horse world. That horse is Thicc! So much muscle!
Lovely. I’ll watch this over and over, I’m sure
where's the hedge? where's the replacing?
Hi, this video was created to show the 'after', to show how a fence can provide an alternative boundary to a hedge.
We have just had a Jacksons fence installed (acoustic) and unfortunately the noise reduction is nowhere like this. Was expecting more in all honesty :-(
Hi Jessie, We’re really sorry to hear this. We do always recommend an acoustic consultant as noise can behave unpredictably sometimes by reflecting and bouncing off structures or buildings in the local vicinity. Would you be able to send over some more details of the installation like who the installer was, whether you used an acoustic consultant, and which product was installed? We’d like to look into this. Kind regards Jacksons Fencing
@@JacksonsFencing of course. Do you have an email address? Our garden backs onto a road so we don't really have any buildings near us other than 2 houses either side. Being really honest I can see no difference than what we had before other than it looks nice. It is so expensive and I've shed many tears this week on it (literally just been installed) as there has been no real sound reduction. We didn't use an acoustic engineer unfortunately but quite honestly, given the additional height, thickness etc i was expecting some difference!
@@jessiebritton5918 Please could you email marketing2@jacksons-fencing.co.uk with the details of the installation (installer etc), order number and I can look at this for you. Thank you.
You have great information and a very understandable teaching style. You audio quality just needs a little bit of help. Maybe a windsock on your mic? But great info. Thank you!
Loved the video especially when you demonstrated on the ground how a new horse might be shown what to do. It definitely makes it easier when applying the rules as it shows it in a big picture mode. Many Thanks 🤩
Ok
Good
Hi can you show a video of this fencing installed by a major road to show how it can combat road tyre noise which is the worst culprit?
I always use combinations when it comes to my property's fences. I opt for composite fence panels and vinyl panels just to maximize the benefits that each brings. Thanks to www.trexfencingfds.com/products/components/ for supplying me with TREX materials and for the expert and experienced staff!
I love how you casually scratch your nose and the movement continues to be perfect 😅
Loved that lesson - it was great thanks !
What the difference between flexion and bend ? Please.
Lizzie, flexion is the horse turning only its head from the Atlas joint (where it attaches to the neck) whereas bend involves the whole horse from the nose to the tail so to speak. So you can have flexion without bend but you cant have bend without flexion. I hope that helps 🙂
What program did you use for this video?
he is so overbent though.
He's not.
So helpful! Thank you
I have a building on a hill about 100 feet from and above the road. The road is at the bottom of the Hill in a Valley. I would love to put a fence up in front 3 feet from my building if that will block the loud trucks, motorcycles, booming speakers, etc... from the road zipping by. Could this work??? Everything says to block near the source. I just can't put a fence near the road and even if I did my building would be above the fence if it was near the road below...
Hi, please could you contact our acoustic sales team by emailing them acoustic@jacksons-fencing.co.uk, or calling us on 0800 408 2234, they will be able to answer your question! Kind regards, Jacksons Fencing
Love it!
I made a similar video: ua-cam.com/video/kZh6lWSq4Aw/v-deo.html
Would this work with gaited horses? Does it build Topline?
I have seen people do dressage exercises with TWH in the Midwest and they took to the suppling extremely well, it was pretty cool. I think there are even some gaited dressage shows now.
Yes 100% and if you want to learn to do gaited dressage or tips the channel Naturally Gaited is for you 😉
I find Jackson's very instructive and my go to :) A respectful request is to demonstrate the maths when showing a line on the arena (e.g. corner is 6 metres then 4 metres past = 10 metres. I really struggled on how to do shapes :) )
Great, I now be able take my son on the nice school footy pitch lol
Hi it mayzee hodson I go to this school and so did my brothers
So why no demonstration of the effectiveness of the barrier at reducing noise??
Hi Frank, The purpose of this case study video was just to give an overview of the project, but we have other videos demonstrating the effectiveness of our acoustic barriers such as this: ua-cam.com/video/qc1hkfsvm_I/v-deo.html Hope that helps! Kind regards Jacksons Fencing
How effective are these solutions against loud hot spa pumps? We have one near us and the low-frequency hum and vibration is very invasive, to such that several dwellings are effected. The owner of the spa basically leaves it running 24/7. Thanks for your time and an interesting video :)
Hi QuadTubeChannel, The Jakoustic barrier is effective against varying frequencies of noise, however low frequency invariably is more difficult to combat. High frequency noise is linear with short sharp bursts of energy that will deflect straight back upon hitting a non-perforated surface with sufficient density, low frequency however (much like a stream of water that hits a rock) will split and continue its course until it can find a way in. It also travels much further than high frequency noise which is why you get a resonating effect. This all sounds very bleak I know however the Jakoustic barrier can still be effective, but what is essential is that the correct height, length and positioning of the barrier has been calculated. The general rule of thumb is that the closer you can get the barrier to the source the more effective it will be - the idea being you kill the noise at its source before it has a chance to travel upward and outward. If the correct barrier is installed you can expect a realistic reduction of between 9-14dB which to the human ear represents a halving of sound. Jacksons would be happy to provide you with the details of a Qualified Sound Engineer should you wish for a consultation.
Thanks - very useful video
My OTTB pony walks like that, I always thought it looked weird.
Do you think the horse knows she's being beautiful or is she just having fun, ether way she looks cool!
The whole thing is incorrect. The horses is being held in a straight jacket. She's behind vertical and is broke over at the 3rd and 4th vertebrae. Where's the self carriage? A true dressage horse is supposed to carry itself correctly on a slack rein. Go back to Nuno.
Never heard of you. So why not have your own channel. Put it on here then we can watch.
@@andreacavaliere884 Your reply implies that fame and notariety are important to you. I run a small, private, by-appointment-only barn. I don't want a lot of people around; I want the right people around, and those are hard to find. As instructors, don't we spend enough time throwing pearls before swine? I sure as heck am not going to invest more time giving it away for free on a UA-cam channel. They're either going to pay for it or they're going to earn it. The majority of people don't value anything that's handed to them on a silver platter. Regarding seeing technique demonstrated, I already threw you pearl, and you disregarded it. I said, "Go back to Nuno."
Emile we miss your videos. They are invaluable. Will you make some new ones any time soon?
Very cool. Can you please tell me what that footing is made of?
Anna Ross-Davies - Thank you! Leg Yield and Shoulder -In very well explained and ridden! Need more info on use of outside rein. Tks!
Thank you for your expertise, honest and well explained!!
Bottom rail doesn't look like a 45x45x6 Flat RSA which it should be to meet British Standards at 2.1m high. If the bottom rail isn't flat then the pale will not sit flush with the rail which will compromise the performance of the fixing. (that's assuming the fixings have been fully tightened). Intruders are more likely to carry a small hand grinder than carry a 10 foot length of timber.
Hanna, I'm a Silver USDF and just a minute ago I searched in youtube for help with the pirouettes. When I saw the title of your video I said "Thank God". I've learned a lot from you. Keep it up.
